Fantastique, as always.

So I saw the full version of this lying there on my desktop (the one with the sax), and figured I should probably check back and see what you've done since the amazingness of this peice. Needless to say I was pretty suprised to find your old account gone, but I found my way here off that stickicide game on the front page.
This is still one of my favorite tracks, though the new one with the flutes is really growing on me. I'm glad to see you're still making brilliant peices like this one, and I wish I could critique more, but I pretty much suck at everything musical. :-p Your music's really inspiring, keep up the good work. You've got my 5. :)

Thanks for the kind words!

Fantastic.

Oye, good job on this one. The piano was very clear, I really liked that about this song. If I have to find something wrong with it, the snare was a little too hard there, and there were one or two notes that sounded a little out of place toward the end, but otherwise fantastic. This song reminds me why I love Ambient :). 5/5, keep it up.

DJRunaway responds:

The 2 notes out of place. Yeah, I argued with VME quite alot about 'em, but he wanted them there to give a little bit of "live improvisation" feelin' to the song :) You know, this song was actually made for 4 other people, who're gonne preform live with us in 2 months (Just for them 2 practice). It wasn't actually our intention to release it, but ... I'm an Audio Portal Aholic :) Thanks for the review :)

Greetz,
DJ Runaway, The "Again" in "Not Again" (Again, VME is gonne kick my ass for this :P)

Another great one.

Even though it was a remix, it sounded completely different from the original, except for a few spots. I liked it at first, and I like it even better now. Keep up the good work.

(Ha, see the clever abbreviation.)

I agree with the other guy.

It was definitely good, but it does need a little something. Seemed too..hard..for funk. Either way, great job, hope to see more of your stuff soon.

Pretty good.

Little choppy at some points, I really liked the beginning piano. Thinking you maybe should have drawn out the transitions between the things more, but it was pretty okay overall.

griff711 responds:

thx, yea i A big fan of chorded guitars and paino, synced up.

Okay.

Definitely mortal kombat-esque. Nice.

Great.

Must say i'm a big fan of ambient, and everytime I listen to this I remember why. This is quality music right here. The drums came in very smoothly, and I normally don't like them. There was one sound I didn't really recognized, but I liked it a lot. It was the melody, and came in later. Either way, great job on this peice, I liked it a lot.

Gillenium responds:

Ah, the narrow-casting pays off. I made this song for people like you, bud. Glad you like it!

Copied?

Hey, I got the FL studio demo a while ago, and this came with it. Under:projects, cool stuff, JasonC-Tranced @ 4am. Give it a listen, its' the same thing as this. Maybe you're JasonC, maybe you forgot to give credit, whatever, either way this is that song. Not tryin to be nasty here, but credit where credit is due.

Fuel2Fire responds:

I used his song to creat this actually yes. It's in Fruity Loops version 3.4 under the file you listed. I usually listen to a song I like to see if I like the pattern and if so I scratch everything off it and start all over with positioning the sounds (which are dots on the grid :p) I never really compared the two after I finished... I really hope its not really like it lol I spent a lot of time on this song and I don't wanna rip off Jason_C as he is one of my fav artists that use FL. If I did than I am very sorry to Jason_C.

If it's too close to Faded4am then I guess this should just be a remix =/ Sorry for the confusion.

Wow.

Just wow. That was an amazing piece of work right there. The tempo was high, but you still managed to trance me out, which takes a lot of skill. I'm just starting out on FL studio, and all the things in it just kind of overwhelm me. It's nice to know that somebody made something as good as this with the same thing i'm using :). Well, keep up the good work.

Fuel2Fire responds:

Just starting with FL? Heres a tip. Start by taking the songs in "cool loops" and other folders and just remixing them... then try going into each sounds pattern and adjusting some settings... just go slow... FL is a very complex program to start off in and can overwhelm you into frustration. Just take it slow and keep your kool.

It's a really fun thing to do. I do very minimal editing to make my songs. Check out the artist Pandora_tranquil to hear some really technical stuff made from scratch. It's inspirational to see the quality of music u can make from absolutely nothing.

Good luck in your own projects and thanks for taking time to listen to mine.
